Lucknow, Sept 29: In a major administrative reshuffle, Uttar Pradesh government today transferred 86 senior officials, including 20 IAS and five IPS officers, in the state. Home Secretary Raja Ram has been shifted to administrative tribunal while V K Sharma, till now posted in the Agriculture Education Department, has been posted as Principal Secretary (Power), an official release said here. Hariom Lavania, awaiting posting, has been posted as director of the social welfare Department and Irrigation Secretary Rakesh Garg has been shifted to industrial development department, it said. Prominent IPS officers transferred included Superintendents Of Police of Barabanki, Basti and Baghpat. Barabanki Sp Amitabh Yash has been replaced by Prashant Kumar who was awaiting posting. L V Antony Kumar is the new Basti SP while Baghpat Sp Harish Chandra Pandey has been shifted to railways, the release said.

The government also transferred 66 provincial civil services officers, the release added.
