Madurai, July 19: The personal Assistant Generals of the district collectors have been summoned to Chennai for a briefing about how the dismissal orders given to the government employees for going on strike could be reviewed by the respective department heads, officials sources said here today. They told a news agency that the work of review of dismissals could start from Monday by the respective department heads, and stringent conditions were expected to be laid on the workers who had already "totally surrendered" with a section not even willing to go on any appeal on the High Court judgement. The review had been ordered, according to sources, to follow the guidelines given in the government servants service conduct rules which stipulated that the appointing authority should enquire first into the reasons for absence of the employees during the strike period. "If the appointing authority is satisfied he can reinstate immediately. If he does not the employee could approach commissioner of revenue administration or respective department head or government and finally the tribunal."
