Jerusalem, Feb 04: The long awaited 1.2 billion-dollar Phalcon deal between India and Israel is expected to be sealed during the Defexpo 2004 in New Delhi starting today, reports quoted Israeli defence sources as saying.

Israel's Deputy Defence Minister Zeev Biom and Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) president and CEO Moshe Keret are in India, and as per business daily globes report they are likely to sign the deal with Indian defence ministry officials.
Defence industry sources also expressed the possibility of the deal finally coming through ''with the negotiations over the deal finalised''.
They also added that ''Israel is not going to make any great deal of profit from the deal''.
The IAI will unveil its new I-See mini-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at the Defexpo. The IAI's UAV division developed the I-See partly for the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), and it is one candidate for procurement for the IDF land forces, IAI sources said.
I-See is designed for operation by regiments and battalions for gathering real-time intelligence, thereby providing field commanders with independent capabilities.
It can stay airborne for 45-60 minutes, and operate at ranges of 5-10 km from its base station. Its take-off weight is 7.5 kg, and its camera weighs only 800 grams.
Seventeen Israeli companies will participate in Defexpo 04. Rafael will display its Spyder-SR, surface-to-air python derby air defence system. Israel military industries will display its trajectory corrected rockets for the IDF Artillery Corps' M-270 multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). The rockets have a 40-km range.
