Beijing, Aug 01: Chinese police have arrested 69 illegal migrants, including 12 women and two people smugglers aboard a boat off Dalian City, northeast China`s Liaoning province, a report said today.

Police received a tip-off Wednesday that a number of illegal migrants were going to depart from the tourist port of Xinghai Bay by boat.
On Wednesday night, police spotted a suspicious boat leaving the port and yesterday, police stopped the boat offshore and seized 57 men and 12 women, and the two organisers, Xinhua news agency reported.
The migrants came from the northeastern provinces of Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang as well as Fujian province, East China, according to police sources.
The case is under investigation, a police spokesman said.
