New Delhi, Feb 26: After the successful experiment in Australia, India would be going to Pakistan with a bowling coach for the upcoming one-day and Test series, captain Sourav Ganguly said here today. "We will definitely have some one as bowling coach before we go to Pakistan," Ganguly told reporters here today.
When asked could whether the coach would be any Pakistani fast bowler, Ganguly said "if you are referring to Wasim Akram, it is no. It will be an Indian. Bruce Reid could not go to Pakistan." On the scheduling of the 40-day tour after a hectic Australian outing, Ganguly said "by the time we go to Pakistan, it would be a month's break since our return from Australia. A month-long break is pretty long to freshen up the players." The Indian captain admitted that his side's defeat in the finals of last few one-day series including the VB series in Australia was an "area of concern." "It is true that we have not played well in the last four to five finals which is a concern. But at the same time it is Australia who has beaten us in them," he said.
Ganguly said he believes the batsmen hold the key to India's success in the upcoming series.
"We have to bat well and put runs on the board. This will be the key in both the series. We have to play the way we did during the first part of the Australian tour." Bureau Report
