Last date for credit of excise duty for textile units extended
New Delhi, June 07: Government has extended the last date for claiming one-time credit of excise duty for textile units to June 15 from the earlier stipulated date of May 26.
New Delhi, June 07: Government has extended the last date for claiming one-time credit of excise duty for textile units to June 15 from the earlier stipulated date of May 26.
The decision to this effect was taken after many textile units, especially from Surat, said they were not able to register and declare their stock of inputs by the last date (May 26) in view of agitation by some sections of the trade, an official release said here.
Persons filing such declaration during the extended period (June 15) should file the application for obtaining the registration, if such units had not already applied or had not obtained the registration, the release said. Bureau Report
