New Delhi, Feb 21: The Bharatiya Janata Party will finalise its seat-sharing process with its allies by this month-end.
Talks with the allies were already going on regarding sharing of seats and it will be finalised to the satisfaction of all by the end of this month, BJP general secretary and spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told newspersons.
The party would be announcing its candidates for the lok sabha election between march 10 and 15, he said. The party, he said, asked its state units to send its recommendations by march 5 so that the Central Election Committee which would be meeting between march 10 and 15 could finalise the candidates for the Lok Sabha constituencies. He said the state units would begin their process of selecting the names of probables after February 25. He said the party's first phase of electioneering would be completed by February 23 and second phase would begin from February 25 to March 5.

During the first phase of election, a total of 83 public rallies, 68 Sammelans and more than 100 Yuva Sammelans were organised in which Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, party President M Venkaiah Naidu participated.

Mr Naqvi said the NDA had won the confidence of people from all sections of society, including the minorities, because of its secular credentials. The large scale joining of the parties by several personalities had demonstrated this confidence.
There was no doubt that the BJP led coalition would return to power with heavy mandate, he claimed.
The party, meanwhile, appointed conveners for 500 Lok Sabha constituencies which would not only be looking after management but would also be helping the party to finalise the strategy for the campaign. Besides the party had also given training to 1100 cadre in the past two months to be appointed as election assistants .
