New Delhi, June 22: Nationalist Congress Party today said that a fresh proposal sent by Kanchi Shankaracharya to resolve the vexed Ayodhya issue would create "further confusion", and opposed any out-of-court settlement of the issue. "That the judicial verdict should be the final settlement of the matter, is a general consensus," Tariq Anwar, general secretary of Nationalist Congress Party said in a statement here.

While opposing any proposal for an out-of-court settlement of the disputed site in Ayodhya, Anwar further said that All India Muslim Personal Law Board should not "come in the BJP trap", but stick to the court verdict.

He alleged that fresh proposal sent by Kanchi Shankaracharya was a NDA government-sponsored proposal to create further confusion in the minds of people.
