New Delhi, Mar 17: A meeting of BJP general secretaries to finalise the agenda for the two-day national executive in Indore from April 4 has been convened here by party president M Venkaiah Naidu tomorrow. The Indore meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and top party leaders which is expected to launch the party's election campaign in the state where assembly elections are slated for later this year "The meeting will discuss the agenda for the national executive as also the political developments including Jharkhand and the four assembly elections slated for later this year," party spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here today.
He said the meeting would discuss the developments in Jharkhand in the wake of the resignation of its Chief Minister Babulal Marandi as a result of assembly speaker inder Singh Namdhari being elected leader of the opposition.
The meeting will also discuss the party's defeat in Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections which is expected to figure in the national executive. Bureau Report
