Kuwait, Mar 20: Emergency sirens sounded for a second time in Kuwait City today shortly after Iraq fired missiles at Kuwait and hours after US-led forces began an attack on neighbouring Iraq.

Residents and Kuwaiti television reported sirens wailing for a second time in early afternoon. The second alert lasted less than one hour.
A Kuwaiti defence ministry official earlier said sirens would sound every time there was a threat to his country.
Kuwaiti and US military officials earlier said at least two Iraqi Scud missiles hit Kuwait, and another two were destroyed by Patriot anti-aircraft batteries. Bureau Report
