Jerusalem, March 19: The Indian air force is likely to get three Phalcon Awacs planes for 750 million dollars with the signing of Israel-Russia intellectual property treaty in early March.
The treaty, signed after several months of negotiations requires Israel to notify Russian defence contractors about their initiative to upgrade or export Russian-built weapons platforms.
Under the treaty, Israel will not pay royalties, as originally demanded by Moscow, reports business daily 'Globes' referring to a report in the defence news.
However, Israel must provide Russia with complete information about any planned deal involving Russian-built weapons platforms, it said.
Israel has also promised to collaborate with Russian companies in deals involving Russian-built equipment.
The deal has been in abeyance due to Russia's refusal to supply IL-76 planes, the system's platform, it said.
