India clears $42.3 million foreign investment

The government cleared a Rs 77.8 crore proposal by US-based prepaid calling cards dealer Scientific Games International.
The government also approved a Rs 40 crore proposal by Scotland-based fund manager Standard Life Investments to raise foreign equity to 40 per cent from 26 per cent.
A proposal worth Rs 22 crore by US-based lubricants products manufacturer Mobil Petroleum was also cleared.
Other proposals cleared were in the software development, chemicals and petrochemicals, telecommunications and internet technology related services. Bureau Report
