Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said on Saturday the unresolved disputes in Kashmir, the Middle East, Kosovo, Bosnia and other places gave birth to terrorism. ``Give people back their dignity, self-respect, their honour,`` Musharraf told the UN General Assembly. He said this would help change the mind of oppressed people before they would turn to violence. Before the world should tackle the issue of terrorism in its entirety, it should adopt a three-pronged strategy of going after individual terrorists, terrorist organisations and addressing disputes around the world in a ``just manner,`` Musharraf added.
He said the September 11 terrorist attacks against the United States and his decision to support the US-led military campaign in Afghanistan have put his country in the frontline against terrorism.
