Tiruchirappalli (TN), May 28: Ten persons were crushed to death and 20 injured when a giant wheel put up at a temple festival got uprooted at nearby Karur following heavy winds accompanying downpour tonight, police said. The giant wheel fell down under the impact of the gale and power supply was disrupted, they said, adding the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals. The gale also caused damage to the pandal at the temple besides uprooting a couple of trees in the town.
