10,000 in procession to Vaishno Devi shrine as Navratra festival begins
Jammu, Sept 26: Nearly 10,000 devotees will participate in the `Vaishno Devi Charri Mubarak` procession which will leave for the holy cave shrine tomorrow with the commencement of Navratra festival.
Jammu, Sept 26: Nearly 10,000 devotees will participate in the "Vaishno Devi Charri Mubarak" procession which will leave for the holy cave shrine tomorrow with the commencement of Navratra festival.
"It is for the first time such large Charri Mubarik procession is being taken out from Jammu, winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir," state Shiv Sena chief Rajesh Kumar told reporters here.
On reaching Katra, the base camp of Vaishnodevi, a massive reception would be given to "Charri Mubarik" by the shrine board authorities as well as local unit of Shiv Sena, which is organising the procession.
Shiv Sena would also help in boarding and lodging of devotees from outside the state and assist security forces, Kumar said.
