Sail enters profit zone after 5 years
Mumbai, May 28: Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has posted a net profit of Rs 241.65 crore for the quarter ended March 2003, as compared to a net loss of Rs 417.07 crore during the corresponding quarter last year.

Its total income (net of excise) has increased to Rs 5671.43 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2003 from Rs 4519.99 crore.
For the full fiscal ended March 31, 2003, the company has posted a net loss of Rs 304.31 crore and a total income (net of excise) of Rs 17,591.09 crore. Bureau Report
