Karachi, Feb 03: Pakistan has arrested 30 Indian fishermen for alleged illegal entry into Pakistani waters in the Arabian Sea, a police official said on Tuesday. A patrol of the Maritime Security Agency arrested the fishermen and seized their five boats on Monday about 100 km southeast of Karachi, Police chief Athar Rashid Butt said.

A court will soon hear the fishermen's case, he said.

Since November, Pakistan has arrested 233 Indian fishermen, including the latest detentions. India is holding 29 Pakistani fishermen, Butt said.
Pakistan has also released 74 Indian fishermen on humanitarian grounds since November while India freed 93 Pakistanis. Bureau Report
