Jammu, June 28: Two army personnel and a militant were killed this morning in an exchange of fire following an attack by ultras on Sunjawan army cantonment near here, official sources said. According to initial reports, two armed militants entered the cantonment at around 0430 hrs and started indiscriminate firing when most of the army personnel were sleeping.
However, alert guards retaliated and the exchange of fire continued till 0830 hrs, they said, adding in the encounter one militant was killed and two army personnel lost their lives.
Another militant was believed to be inside the cantonment, but it was yet to be ascertained. Bureau Report
