Mumbai, July 01: The controversy over alleged differences between actress-cum-model Sushmita Sen and Coca Cola company over modelling contract has taken a new turn with
the actress admitting that there were "serious" differences between her and the soft drink major over the issue.
In a statement here tonight, Sen's manager Pankaj
Kharbanda said the actress would like to confirm that there
were serious issues pending between her and Coca Cola Atlanta
(USA) and India.
Presently, these issues were being discussed by the respective legal advisors, he said.
"In this situation, in view of lawyers advice, Sen is unable to make any comments or respond to the reported statements of a spokesman of Coca Cola company," Kharbanda said.
"Sen is not well and has been advised rest by doctors. In the circumstances, she has regretted for not being able to respond to the queries posed by the media," Kharbanda added.
Reports in a section of media said that the actress had run into contractual problems with the soft drink major and that her lawyers had sent notice to coca cola company. Sen had been roped in last year to endorse Coke's brand Thums Up.
Reacting to the controversy, a spokesman of Coca Cola India from New Delhi said "there are some issues relating to contract between us and Sen. Lawyers from both the sides are discussing the matter to resolve the issue." Bureau Report
