Lucknow, Aug 28: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav met Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri at Rajbhavan here today in order to "thank" him for inviting the SP to form the government in the state as per established democratic traditions
He, however, did not reveal the size of his ministry.
Yadav was accompanied among others by Rashtiya Kranti Party president Kalyan Singh, Rashtriya Lok Dal president Ajit Singh, SP general secretary Amar Singh, UPCC president Jagadambika Pal, state Congress Legislature Party leader Pramod Tewari and RLD Legislature Party leader Kokab Hameed.
In dramatic developments yesterday, Yadav was late last night invited by the Governor to form the government after he claimed the support of 210 MLAs.
Yadav would be sworn in at 0930 hours tomorrow at the sprawling Laxman Mela grounds as the next Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the third time.
He has been given 14 days to prove his majority on the floor of the House Bureau Report
