Guwahati, Nov 16: Fresh examinations for the group d posts in North Frontier Railway by the Railway Recruitment Board, along with Central government's Staff Selection Board tests, are being held here today amidst tight security.
The second round of RRB examinations are being conducted at 60 centres in the city following trouble over the November 09 papers held at Maligoan in Assam in which some Bihari students were allegedly prevented from appearing by locals.
Five centres are hosting the SSB exams.
City SP Hiren Nath told reporters that as a special measure four police divisions had been deployed in the city under the supervision of additional superintendents of police.
Additional patrolling has been arranged in and around examination centres, hotels and railway stations as large number of students from outside the region are sitting for the test.
