government of failure to check leakage of question papers
repeatedly, Congress today said these were the "shining
examples of an incompetent" government deeply involved in
corruption and sought a CBI inquiry into the matter.
"This government has set several standards for
governance. But their competence has come out with the fourth
leak of the question papers of professional tests. This was
the shining example of its incompetence", party spokesman
Anand Sharma told reporters.
Stating that it was the fourth leak after cat, IIMS and
CBSE, he said "a CBI inquiry will not be enough.
Accountability must be fixed".
"We also wanted to know as to whom Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would be making accountable", he asked adding the repeated leakage has resulted in the loss of faith in the government among the younger generation.
Accusing the government, Sharma said it was the government which lacked "competence" whose corruption has affected the system and wanted to know if they had compensated anyone affected in these leakage.
Asked if the party would demand resignation of Joshi, he said "if there was any shame left he himself should resign. Vajpayee who is feeling good should now take a decision immediately in this regard".
