Eight people were feared drowned after their boat capsized in the Arabian Sea near the Pakistani port city of Karachi late on Sunday night, officials and relief workers said.

"The boat carrying mostly fishermen from the coastal town of Haji Ali Goth apparently tilted as the sea was rough," they said.
Local administration chief Iqbal Durrani said that ambulances and divers had mounted rescue work.
A search was underway for missing people, he said.
