Daler`s wife`s application adjourned to Nov 29
Patiala, Nov 27: A local court today adjourned hearing of an application of Balwinder Kaur, wife of noted Punjabi singer Saler Mehndi booked in an illegal human trafficking case, seeking cancellation of proceedings to declare her a Proclaimed Offender (PO).

Civil Judge Senior Division P S Dhanoa adjourned hearing on
the application to November 29 as the lawyers of Balwinder
Kaur failed to appear in the court.
Patiala police had initiated proceedings for declaring
Balwinder Kaur as a PO after she failed to appear before
the police in connection with the illegal human trafficking
case in which her brother-in-law Shamsher Singh ( a brother of
Daler) is presently in judicial custody.
The case was registered on the complaint of one Bakshish Singh against Daler, his brother Shamsher and three others after they allegedly failed to send him abroad despite his having paid Rs 13 lakh out of the Rs 15 lakh demanded for the purpose. Bureau Report
