Daler Mehndi detained by Delhi Police
New Delhi, Dec 19: Noted Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi was today detained by Delhi Police minutes after he submitted before the Supreme Court that he would surrender before the concerned court on January 08.

Mehndi was today detained by Delhi Police minutes after he
submitted before the Supreme Court that he would surrender
before the concerned court on January 08.
Mehndi, wanted in a human trafficking case filed against
him by Punjab Police, was detained in South Delhi and the
police was now examining legal modalities before placing
him under arrest, police said.
Earlier in the day, Daler had moved an application before the Supreme Court stating that he will surrender before the concerned court on January 08 next year.
A bench comprising justice D Raju and justice Arijit Pasayat had directed the Punjab Police to provide him adequate protection for the surrender before the appropriate court and kept his bail petition for hearing on January 16. Bureau Report
