CBI takes over two cases of fake police encounters
Patna, Feb 25: The CBI has taken over investigation of two cases of alleged police encounters in Bihar in which five persons were killed.

of two cases of alleged police encounters in Bihar in which
five persons were killed.
Two were killed in police firing at Majhaul in Begusarai
district in a case of mistaken identity on December 23, while
three youths died in an alleged encounter at Ashiananagar in
the state capital on December 28.
A seven-member CBI team headed by a superintendent of
police rank officer took charge of the two cases from the
state police yesterday, director general of police, D P Ojha
told a news agency.
Stating that state police had handed over all relevant
papers to the CBI, Ojha said "we will provide all possible
help to the agency to bring the culprits to justice."
Ojha said it was now the agency's responsibility to file the chargesheet and bring the guilty policemen to book.
