Ayodhya issue should be left to court: DMK
Chennai, July 07: DMK, a key constituent of the NDA, today said it was better to leave the Ayodhya tangle to the court, instead of `wasting time` on discussing whether the Kanchi seer Jayendara Saraswathi`s proposal to solve the dispute would succeed or not.
Chennai, July 07: DMK, a key constituent of the NDA, today said it was better to leave the Ayodhya tangle to the court, instead of "wasting time" on discussing whether the Kanchi seer Jayendara Saraswathi's proposal to solve the dispute would succeed or not.
"A debate is going on whether the Shankaracharya's proposals will lead to compromise or confrontation. It is better to leave the matter to the court, which alone can find a solution to the issue," DMK president M Karunanidhi said in a statement.
The DMK chief said the seer's proposals to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, as appeared in the press, seem to be "partisan," unlike his earlier initiative last year.
