The episode started with Vanessa winning part one of the final HOH, which was a physical endurance competition in which the players had to sit on giant carnival "apples" for as long as possible, reported Ace Showbiz.

However, Steve went on to win the second and third part, evicted Vanessa and took Liz to the final two where the jury asked some tough questions to the two finalists. After Steve and Liz gave their answers, the votes were locked in and the non-jury members took the stage.

Steve was eventually announced as the winner of "Big Brother". He took home the USD 500,000 grand prize while Liz walked away with a prize of USD 50,000. Also during the finale, James Huling earned the title of America's Favorite Houseguest and was awarded USD 25,000.
