Kolkata, Oct 22: Sourav Ganguly was progressing satisfactorily with the wound caused by the abscess on his left thigh showing improvement, doctors said here today.

"The wound has been found improving satisfactorily with clean and healthy granulation tissue," a medical bulletin issued by doctors said.
Doctors said the patient tolerated well the daily dressing of his wound which was found sterile on culture. The cricket star who underwent a second surgery for the painful abscess, was taking walks in his room and was also sleeping well.
Ganguly's stay in the nursing home has already been extended till Saturday. The skipper, who missed the second Test against New Zealand at Mohali due to the infection, has already been ruled out of the first two matches of the triangular one-day series beginning in Chennai tomorrow. Bureau Report
