Ajmer, Oct 04: The Supreme Court has fined Rajasthan for not including environment and pollution control subject in school curricula, official sources said here today. Holding non-implementation of the courts' directive to include environment and pollution control as a compulsory subject in school curricula as contempt, the apex court ordered the Rajasthan government last month to deposit Rs.10, 000 and submit implementation report within four weeks, the sources said. The Secondary Board of Education here has now been directed by the state government to deposit the amount from its fund since it failed to implement the Supreme Court order. The state government also authorised an additional district education officer to ensure deposit of the amount by the board. Bureau Report
