Jaipur, June 25: Heavy rain affected normal life in most parts of the state as the south-west monsoon set in and Gopalpur village here was inundated as cracks developed in a local dam.

Gopalpur village here was inundated as cracks developed in a
local dam.
Hundreds of people of the village in Jaipur's Phagi
Tehsil were marooned but no casualty was reported, police
said.
A relief team from the state capital has been rushed to
the affected village to shift the marooned to safer places,
they said.
Parched Jaipur and adjoining places of Sanganer received monsoon's first rains in the wee hours as the maximum rainfall varied between 4-7 cms. Power supply was disrupted in many areas. The maximum rainfall of 10 cms was recorded in Pratapgarh, followed by Bundi 8 cm, Sanganer, Shahpura, Arnea 7 cms each.
The monsoon trough would continue its impact over eastern Rajasthan during the next 24 hours, a met report said. Bureau Report
