Baripada, Sept 17: Mark Webslor, consul in the Australian High Commission in India, visited Gladys Staines, the widow of slain Australian missionary Graham Staines at her residence here today. Webslor declined to speak to the media, while Gladys described the consul's trip to this town as a goodwill visit.

The diplomat was also present at the district and sessions court at Bhubaneswar when the judgement on the murder of Staines and his two minor sons, Philip and Timothy, was pronounced on Monday last. Webslor, accompanied by Gladys, visited the Murgabadi burial ground, about two km from here, where he placed bouquets at the cemetery of Staines and the two children.

He later left for Balasore enroute Kolkata.
