Bolo Har Har Har!
One of the most intense actors Bollywood has ever seen—Ajay Devgn is back in the game and how! The actor inside him has impressed us many a time, but this time, he has donned a director's hat as well. 'Shivaay' happens to be his most ambitious project till date. The superstar has researched the subject, went on snow-capped outdoor locations—challenging himself and given his 200 percent.
This is what makes 'Shivaay' one big film up for release this Diwali. The film's trailer has already garnered several million views on YouTube, taking our anxiety to the next level. Why do we say so? Well, watch the trailer here and then you shall understand what makes us draw this conclusion.
Ajay has been in the Hindi film industry for more than two decades. The kind of cinema he does is often revered and we love to see that ever brooding look into his intense and passionate eyes. This time, the actor-director is ready to entice his viewers with a visual delight called 'Shivaay'. Today, we are going to list out TOP 5 reasons on why you possibly can't miss watching the ambitious Ajay Devgn project this Diwali.
Interestingly, 'Shivaay' will be clashing with Karan Johar's much talked about project 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', as both the ventures are releasing on the same date. KJo's film has an impressive ensemble cast with the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in pivotal roles. In the past, we have seen how big films clashing on their release dates have not really benefitted much, and the trade pundits too have often believed that it is best to avoid any kind of clash at the box office. But does that ring an alarm bell? Well, let's find out what makes 'Shivaay' a sure shot blockbuster in the offing:
Ajay Devgn
How can we start without talking about the man himself. 'Shivaay' belongs to Ajay Devgn—the actor, director, creator and visualiser. There are many reasons why we say so. Firstly, the treatment of his movie, from the trailer that we have seen, makes us safely conclude that this film will definitely offer something that we have NOT seen so far.
The blue-grey tone of the trailer is perfect for giving us those chills while we look at the snow-capped mountains and a 'high' Ajay lying bare-bodied on it. Not to miss the amazing Shiva tattoo and a Trishul one at the back.
His eyes exude everything you need, even if there are NO dialogues. His passionate look speaks volumes about the kind of intensity he holds or the film demands. Ajay is surely the one on whose shoulders this film is riding.
International star cast
While we all are obsessed over our Bollywood beauties making it big in Hollywood, Ajay has safely imported foreign actresses for 'Shivaay'. Yes! We will get to see Erika Kaar, who is a Polish actress and has featured in 2014 BBC television series 'The Passing Bells'. She has also appeared in Polish TV series 'Blondynka', and plays the lead in 'Az po suffit!'.
Besides Erika, there is Abigail Eames, who is reportedly playing Ajay's daughter in the film. The little angel is a well-known face in the West films as well as in international television series. She has starred in several Hollywood films and won accolades for her performance in the famous tele series 'Doctor Who', recently.
Do you really need more to make 'Shivaay' extra special?
Debutant actress
Besides Ajay, Erika and Abigail—the casting is complete with debutant Sayyeshaa Saigal making her big screen appearance in the film. Not many know that Sayyeshaa is the daughter of Bollywood actors Sumeet Saigal and Shaheen Banu. She is the grandniece of actors legendary Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar.
Sayyeshaa will be seen paired opposite Ajay in 'Shivaay', and by the looks of it, the girl looks dayum beautiful. Interestingly, the 19-year-old Sayyeshaa made her Telugu debut with the film Akhil in 2015. So, the camera is not new for her. Now, with 'Shivaay' let's see how her Bollywood innings takes off!
Music/background score
Although, the first song 'Bolo Har Har Har' has recently released and we are yet to hear the full album—we are pretty sure that this is going to be a trance-filled delight. The title track 'Bolo Har Har Har' has everything in place—right from the music, singers or visual presentation—it ticks all the right boxes. It has been sung by Mohit Chauhan, Sukhwinder, Megha Sriram, Dalton, and Badshah. We are mighty impressed by the title track, which looks like a reverence to the lord—as the Shiv Panchakshara Stotra plays in the background. Also, international sensation The Vamps are jamming up for 'Shivaay'. The soundtrack composed by Mithoon will have a guest vocal appearance by the British Pop-rock band. Let's see what's more in the offing.
