Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was scheduled to arrive today in Delhi for the promotion of his upcoming film "Piku", has skipped his visit as he is suffering from viral fever.

The actor plays an ageing father to Deepika Padukone, who plays his daughter, in the comedy-drama. The film explores the dynamics of the father-daughter relationship as they take a road trip to Kolkata from Delhi.


Also starring Irrfan Khan, Moushumi Chatterjee and Jishu Sengupta, the Shoojit Sircar-directed film is expected to hit theatres on May 8.
