Saif could have chosen to follow in the footsteps of his father (former captain of the Indian cricket team in the 1960s) but he pursued a career in acting like his mother.

However, he would never attempt to either produce or act in the film which would be based on his father’s life.

According to a report in DNA, Saif said, “I wouldn’t be comfortable at all acting in the film or producing it because I would be so scared of letting down his memories or not making a brilliant film. I don’t know if my mother would give her blessings for such a film. But it could potentially be the best biopic ever.”

The actor, who will be seen next in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ wouldn’t appreciate if a biopic on his father would be made by someone who is “terrible”. He wouldn’t refrain from taking action against the filmmaker!

Interestingly, Bollywood is keen on making films based on lives of sportspersons. We have seen Farhan Akhtar play Milkha Singh and Priyanka Chopra portray Mary Kom. Aamir Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Emraan Hashmi will soon be seen as Mahavir Phogat, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mohammed Azharuddin respectively.
