Emily Blunt in negotiations for `The Girl on the Train` role

Washington: Emily Blunt is in talks tostar in DreamWorks' film ' The Girl on the Train' adaptation.

The film, which is based on the best-selling thriller novel by Paula Hawkins, narrates the story of Rachel, who constructs a make-believe perfect life for a couple she sees every day from her window on the train, until the day when she involves herself in their real-life drama, the Time reported.

The debut book had sold over two million copies in the U.S., becoming the fastest-selling adult novel of all time.

It has maintained its position on the New York Times best seller list for 20 weeks.
