The cable channel took to its Twitter page to share a look at the Emmy-nominated actress as the real-life attorney on the set of the upcoming TV movie, reported Ace Showbiz.

Washington also shared the same picture on her Instagram. She wrote along with it, "Dear @HBO, Thank you for the profound opportunity of getting to inhabit Anita Hill and help tell this story! Yours Truly, K-Dub (aka super excited Exec Producer) #Confirmation."

"Confirmation" is based on a controversial court case in 1991 that pitted Hill against Clarence Thomas, a Supreme Court nominee and her former supervisor at the US Department of Education whom she accused of sexual harassment.

The case "forever changed the way people think about sexual harassment, victims' rights and modern-day race relations."

The telepic is directed by Rick Famuyiwa with the script provided by Susannah Grant ("Erin Brockovich"). Washington also executive produces the TV movie along with Grant, Michael London and Janice Williams.

The cast also includes Wendell Pierce as Thomas, Greg Kinnear as current Vice President Joe Biden who oversaw the hearings, Jennifer Hudson as Angela Wright, Jeffrey Wright as Charles Ogletree, and Alison Wright as Thomas' wife, Virginia.
