The 34-year old star, who also voiced character Olaf in 2013's 'Frozen', took to Twitter to share the news by posting a split image of both he and LeFou doing the exact same dancing pose, E! Online reported.

The announcement comes just few days after it was disclosed that Dan Stevens and Luke Evans have signed to join Emma Watson in the Bill Condon-directed flick.

The 'Downton Abbey' star is set to play the role of the beast, while Evans will star as Gaston.

Welcoming her co-stars, Emma Watson had tweeted, "Could not be more happy that this man will be Beast!!! Welcome aboard @thatdanstevens #beautyandthebeast."

She had also tweeted Evans picture saying "Bonjour Gaston! Welcome! #BeautyAndTheBeast."

The film's production is expected to begin later in 2015.
