Los Angeles: Hollywood stars Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey have joined the cast of upcoming Annapurna Pictures production "The Bad Batch".

Both actors will be joined in the cast ensemble by the likes of Suki Waterhouse, Diego Luna, as well as Jason Momoa who will be playing the main character, reported The Wrap.


A post-apocalyptic tale set in a Texas wasteland where a community of cannibals reside, "The Bad Batch" is a love story about a cannibal known as Miami Man (Momoa) and his food.


Waterhouse reportedly will be playing the female lead named Arlen, while Luna will play a man named Jimmy. Reeves will play The Dream, whereas Carrey is on board starring as The Hermit.


Ana Lily Amirpour will lend a hand as director and screenwriter with the help of Megan Ellison, Danny Gabai, and Sina Sayyah as producers. 


Production on "The Bad Batch" is set to be kicked off next month in Los Angeles with Annapurna International planning to sell it at the Cannes Film Festival.
