`Lights Out` sequel in works
A sequel to horror film `Lights Out` is currently being developed.
Los Angeles: A sequel to horror film "Lights Out" is currently being developed.
The film tells of a ghost entity that haunts a family and after its stellar opening over the weekend, New Line has thrown into development a sequel, said The Hollywood Reporter.
While the project is in its early days, the producing team of James Wan, Peter Safran and Lawrence Grey would return for the follow-up, as would director David F Sandberg, on whose short the original film was based.
Eric Heisserer is in talks to return to write the script, and at this stage New Line and producers are mulling concepts. No deals are made.
Teresa Palmer, Maria Bello, Gabriel Bateman and Alexander DiPersia starred in the original.
