Murray, 65, had said that his role in the film was partially based on Delsener, reported New York Post.

"When he lived here, we used to hang out a lot because he liked Van Morrison, and I was producing... We had many nights of fun," Delsener said.

"He saw me in action a few times, especially out in LA, yelling at people. I don't know, he's being kind because he knew (promoter) Bill Graham too. I thought he was good. I love him."
