New Delhi: Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming venture 'Calendar Girls' seems to be in trouble much ahead of its release. The film has reportedly been issued a fatwa by Pakistan over its explicit content.

As per reports in Pinkvilla.com, the makers of 'Calendar Girls' have received a fatwa by Pakistan over 'troublesome' content in the film, which the latter feels presents their country in bad light. According to the report, one of the actresses in the movie is shown to be of Pakistani origin.

The officials in Pakistan are even planning to put a ban on the film in their country.


No official word has been made by the filmmaker on it as yet.
