According to sources, The Censor Board in Pakistan chairman Mobasher Hasan has said, “Firstly, the film is in Hindi and our ordinance does not allow Hindi films to be screened,” he said.

“Secondly, it is a historical drama that is indirectly against Islam and Muslims,” he further added.

It was earlier believed that the Censor issues would crop because of a few intimate and action scenes, but that isn’t the actual reason.

Interestingly, the Punjab and Sindh censor boards have cleared the film.

A final decision is yet to be taken by the main board.
