Jammu: Actor-politician Raj Babbar today recalled his fond memories of shooting his films in Kashmir and said Bollywood filmmakers should visit the picturesque Valley once again.

"Kashmir gave me an identity because I started my career from here," Babbar, 62, said.


"I never hesitate to say that it is my Jammu and Kashmir, because, it gave me a new identity. Bollywood people should visit Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh to shoot their movies, which will boost tourism of the state," he told reporters here.


Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed recently visited Mumbai, met Bollywood actors and directors and invited them to shoot films in Kashmir.


Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who recently wrapped up the shoot for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" in Kashmir, said more films must be shot in the Valley.


He also said theatres which were shut in the 1990s should be re-opened.
