The cast of `Star Trek Beyond` have paid a moving tribute to the late Leonard Nimoy through a new video for the Omaze charity.
London: The cast of "Star Trek Beyond" have paid a moving tribute to the late Leonard Nimoy through a new video for the Omaze charity.
Filmed on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba and stars of the blockbuster offer up a Vulcan salute to their co-star, who played Spock across TV and film over the course of five decades, reported Digital Spy.
Quinto, who played a younger version of Nimoy's iconic character, led the video tribute by calling him "an actor, a champion of the arts, and a true inspiration to so many". "Through his legendary portrayal of Spock, he influenced countless scientists and artists - myself and the rest of the cast included," Quinto said.
Omaze is a campaign supporting nine charities chose by the stars of "Star Trek Beyond". St Jude Children's Research Hospital was a cause Nimoy had a huge passion for.
