It's something he wasn't allowed in his film "Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji" in 2011.

"Appreciate that Censor Board's allowed Finding Fanny team to use d word VIRGIN. Sadly during DTBHJ the V-word got my film an A certificate," Bhandarkar posted on his Twitter page.

It's a positive sign - "Finding Fanny" director Homi Adajania, readily agrees.

CBFC had earlier asked the film's team to discard a dialogue from the film, where actress Deepika Padukone says, "I’m a virgin".

However, the makers were confused by CBFC's "contradictory action" as the line had been passed earlier in the trailers.

"Finding Fanny" releases Sep 12. Produced by Maddock Films, the film is being presented by Fox Star Studios.
