Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan along with actress Anushka Sharma and noted singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have joined hands with Y-Films' transgender music group 6-pack band.
The 6-pack band comprises six transgenders singing original songs. Now, Y-Films, the youth wing of Yash Raj Films, will tomorrow release, the sixth music video of the band.

"For the last song we have an epic campaign. It's going to be the biggest one. We have collaborated with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, he has sung with the band. The video also has shorts of Salman (Khan) and Anushka (Sharma)," Ashish Patil, VP- Y-Films, Brand Partnerships & Talent Management, told PTI.
"Towards the end, Anushka will talk about acceptance, love and why disrespect anyone. It is not just about transgender but all those who have been neglected," he said.

This is an innovative way of promoting Salman's Eid release "Sultan" which has Anushka in the lead. And Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has sung "Jag Ghoomeya". The Ali Abbas Zaffar directed sports drama film releases on July 6.

The 6-pack band comprises six transgender singers. It's an initiative created and driven by Y-Films, to help further the cause of gender equality in the country.

The members of the band are aged between 21 years to 35 years. They have diverse tastes and the members have either left their jobs or have been ousted out of their homes because of their sexual orientation.

Formed in 2015, it is the country's first transgender band. After its debut single, "Hum Hain Happy" a cover of Pharrell William's 2013 hit number, noted playback singer Sonu Nigam and legendary singer Asha Bhosale's granddaughter Zanai had lent their voice for two different songs for the band. Actor Hrithik Roshan was seen performing with the band for one of the songs.

Besides these songs, superstar Shah Rukh Khan was seen interacting and dancing on the title track of his last film "Fan" with the band members and even Arjun Kapoor had interacted and crooned "Hil Pori Hila" with the band.
