The statement said that Twain's doctors have advised her to rest for several days after she was diagnosed with a respiratory infection, People reports.
The 50-year-old singer has cancelled her shows at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester and Times Union Center in New York.
The statement stated that the concert dates were unable to be rescheduled due to Shania Twain's current touring schedule, adding that all tickets would be refunded at point of purchase.
The tour is set to resume on October 9th at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City.
