Mumbai, Oct 14: In the wake of seizure of alleged worm-infested chocolates, Congress activists today demanded that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recall the entire stock of Cadbury chocolates from the retailer and wholesale dealers and seal the factory premises. The activists from south Mumbai, after burning a giant model of Cadbury chocolate, sent a letter to the FDA commissioner, Uttam Khobragade.

At the end of the demonstration, led by Colaba Congress president and municipal councillor Vinod Shekhar, a memorandum was submitted to the commissioner of Brihanmumbai municipal corporation, demanding that the shops and establishment department, licence department and health department take stringent action after taking stock of the situation.
They also demanded that BMC should work in coordination with FDA as the health of the people was more important than the brand name.
