London, Oct 20: Champions Cup finalists AC Milan and Juventus each won this weekend to remain tied at the top of the Italian Serie A while Arsenal downed Chelsea in England to take over sole possession of first place in the Premier League.
In Spain, Valencia reclaimed the lead after crushing Espanyol 4-0, and Bayer Leverkusen jumped into first place in the Bundesliga by beating Hertha Berlin 4-1.
A blunder from Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini gifted Thierry Henry the winner at Highbury as Arsenal prevailed 2-1.
Cudicini tried to scoop the ball, but it spilled onto the leg of Henry and dribbled over the goal line. Edu also scored for the gunners while Hernan Crespo got one back for Chelsea. It was Chelsea's first league defeat, leaving Arsenal as the only unbeaten team in England.
Andrea Pirlo got the lone goal for European titlist Milan, which beat Lazio 1-0. Defending champion Juventus got two goals from Fabrizio Miccoli and a third from Gianluca Zambrotta to top last-place Ancona 3-2.

Valencia, the only unbeaten team left in the Spanish League, has not allowed a goal in eight straight league and Uefa Cup matches. Miguel Angel "Mista" Ferrer scored twice and Ruben Baraja and Vicente Rodriguez added one each.

Leverkusen, which took over the top spot from Werder Bremen following a loss to vfb stuttgart, got goals from Franca, Dimitar Berbatow, Bernd Schneider and Marko Babic. Fredi Bobic had equalized for Hertha early in the second half.
